Rwanda, fondly known as the land of a thousand hills, is located in East-central Africa. It is bordered by the Democratic Republic of Congo to the West; Uganda to the north; Tanzania to the east and Burundi to the south.

With a total surface area of only 26,338 square kilometres, the small size of this landlocked country makes it an ideal launching pad for regional trade.

Its capital, Kigali is only 2-3 hours away from the markets of Southern Uganda, Eastern D.R Congo, Western Tanzania and Northern Burundi. This close proximity makes Rwanda an excellent proposition as a location for business operations targeting these emerging markets.

The country has a temperate climate, with two rainy seasons (February to April, November to January). Average temperature range from 16-26 Degrees Celsius.

Frost and snow are possible in the Virunga Mountains to the north. Besides its excellent climate, the country is also re-known for its beautiful terrain withmostly grassy uplands and scenic, gently rolling hills. Its abundant wildlife, including the rare mountain gorillas, is an icing on the cake, especially for nature lovers.
