- Applicants with official passports (diplomatic passports, service passports, passports "for public affairs") apply for their visas via the competent Chinese ministry or commission.
- Holders of ordinary passports must apply in person.
- The visa procedure may take 3-5 Days.
- Fee: The handling fee is 460 RMB.
Free Visa for holders of Diplomatic passports
The opening hours for the visa section of the Embassy of the Republic of RWANDA in Beijing are:
Hours:
- Monday-Thursday, 9.00-12.00 a.m.
- Closed on Rwandan and Chinese public holidays.
Required documents:
A. Business Visit
1. Two application forms, duly completed with 2 recent passport-size photos;
2. Passport, valid at least 90 days after expiration of the visa, with a photocopy of the identity pages;
3. Official introduction letter from the Chinese company or organization (including the address, telephone no., fax, employment position of the traveler, purpose of the trip) and a photocopy of the business license with its English or French translation;
4. Invitation letter from your business partner in Rwanda:
? Intended duration of stay;
? Reason for stay including a time schedule and itinerary.
5. Police Clearance Certificate valid for 3 months
6. Proof of your financial means for the travel (in invitation or in guarantee letter or bank certificate of applicant).
All above-mentioned documents should be presented in original.
B. Private Visit
1. Two application forms, duly completed with 2 recent passport-size photos;
2. Passport, valid at least 90 days after expiration of the visa, with a photocopy of the identity pages;
3. Invitation letter from your reference person in Rwanda:
? Intended duration and reason for stay;
? The reference person¡¯s employment situation;
? The reference person: copy of the passport and residence permit (for foreigners) or copy of passport or Identity Card (for national citizens).
4. Police Clearance Certificate valid for 3 months
5. Proof of your financial means for the travel (in invitation or in guarantee letter or bank certificate of applicant);
6. A document certifying that you have been given leave from your job/studies during the period you intend visiting Rwanda.
All above-mentioned documents should be presented in original.
C. Technical Cooperation
1. Two application forms, duly completed with 2 recent passport-size photos;
2. Passport, valid at least 90 days after expiration of the visa, with a photocopy of the identity pages;
3. Official introduction letter from the Chinese company or organization (including the address, telephone no., fax, employment position of the traveler, purpose of the trip) with its English or French translation;
4. Recommendation / Invitation letter from China Embassy in Rwanda or a relevant Rwandan Ministry:
? Intended duration of stay;
? Reason for stay including a time schedule and itinerary.
Additional documents, requirements and information
- The Embassy may ask for additional documents or information and has the right to call applicants for an interview.
- All additional documents should be either in English or French
Presentation of the above-mentioned documents does not guarantee the applicant a visa.
